Here’s a round-up of my swear-by drugstore beauty products. Some of them I’ve been using my whole life, like the Sally Hansen cuticle remover and the Revlon emery boards (I’ve been doing at-home manis since I was 10 years old!). Other items I just started using recently but can’t live without, like the Palmer’s moisturizer and the L’Oreal root touch up. All of these items are tested daily by me!
I have dry skin, so it’s super important for me to use a soap that helps my skin retain moisture. Dove soap fills that need. I’ve been using it for over 30 years, and this scent is my favorite.
If you do at-home manis, you need emery boards to file your nails into the perfect squoval, square or almond shape, and these are the best! I keep them in every room of the house, in my car and at my desk at work.
This long wearing Maybelline lipstick is one of the best! It comes in so many colors and stays on forever without drying your lips, and it comes with a built-in sharpener on the bottom. There are so many shades available to go with all your makeup looks.
Cherry Chapstick. It gives your lips just a hint of color when worn alone, and is a great base for long wearing lipsticks which can be drying to your lips. I use this everyday, year-round, as part of my no makeup look for the gym.
This long wearing Revlon lip gloss goes on smooth and stays on all day. Shades range from the palest nude to the brightest red.
Wet N Wild has been around forever. I remember using it in junior high school in the ’80s. This eyeliner goes on smooth and creates a defined line, but you can smudge it with your finger if you want more of a smoky eye look. I wear black, but there are lots of other colors available.
I’m never without my Tre Semme hair spray. It creates a touchable hold that works well with my curls, but also keeps my hair in place when I wear it straight. It has a light, fresh fragrance, but also comes in a fragrance free option.
I use this everyday. It’s a great moisturizer and it really makes your skin look smooth and even toned. I’ve been trying a lot of the Palmer’s products lately and I really like them. I’ll share more in another blog post soon!
An important step in your at-home mani is using cuticle remover, and this one is the best. I’ve been using it forever! Sally Hansen products can be found at all drugstores and in the drugstore section of most major retailers. They’ve been around a long time because they work. My mom worked for Revlon back when it was a department store brand, and she always had Revlon and Sally Hansen products in her beauty bag.
This root cover up is a necessity between hair color appointments! It sprays on easy and evenly after a good shaking, and it lasts until you wash your hair. There are several shades available to match every hair color.
The drugstore can be a good place to find quality beauty products at a reasonable price. These 10 items are some of my favorites and they get the job done. All products are linked under each photo and on my page in the LiketoKnow.it @shop.ltk shopping app linked below.
