I’m a big makeup fan from way back, so I love that my job let’s me play with makeup and try new brands. One brand that I’ve been using recently is Tarte Cosmetics. They have so many different makeup options for all skin types, age groups and lifestyles. In this blog post, I’m going to share my favorite Tarte Cosmetics products with you.
Let’s start with laying the foundation. Tinted moisturizers and foundations can even out skin tone, blur fine lines and wrinkles, moisturize skin, protect skin from the sun and provide great coverage. Here are some of my favorites!
I wear this BB tinted moisturizer every day to the gym. It’s lightweight and evens out my skin tone. I also has SPF20 in case you’re doing an outdoor workout. This comes in a foundation formulation, as well, in case you want more coverage.
This is another great tinted hydrator, but without SPF. I’ll wear this in the winter when I’m indoors most of the time, or I’ll wear it with sunscreen underneath.
My favorite Tarte foundation is Foundcealer. I like it better than the very popular Face Tape Foundation because Foundcealer is moisturizing. If you don’t have dry skin like me and love the Shape Tape line of products, Face Tape foundation is a good option.
Tarte has some great eyeshadow palettes! The colors are buildable, so you can have as much or as little color as you want, and they go on smoothly. This one includes 3 different palettes (bronze, rose and taupe), and folds up to the size of a hockey puck It’s great for travelling because you have a variety of different shades in a compact case.
This great neutral eyeshadow palette is called the Power Bar. It has bronzy/chocolatey colors with a mix of matte and shimmer colors.
These 3 eyeshadow palettes can be purchases separately or in this trio. Each one has different colors schemes from bronzes to pinks to taupes, including shimmer and matte formulations.
This Tarteist eyeliner glides on smoothly and makes a nice, even line.
The Creaseless Concealer is a great alternative to Shape Tape Concealer if you have dry skin like I do. It’s moisturizing and does not settle in fine lines.
I’ve recently started filling in my brows, and Busy Gal Brows makes it so easy. Just swipe the mini mascara-like brush over your brows to add color and fill in where needed.
Lights, Camera, Lashes is my favorite Tarte mascara, although you can’t go wrong with any of their mascaras. This one lengthens, curls and makes your lashes look like you have lash extensions.
I like this blush palette because it comes with a blush, bronzer and highlighter in one compact case. It even includes a mirror. You can use the blush and bronzer separately or mix them together for a deeper, richer color.
This blush trio is not only a good value, but it contains some great colors! And each palette comes in a compact, fold-up case which makes it great for travelling.
Here’s how each palette unfolds.
Tarte has some great lip color options. This first one is the Maracuja Juicy lip, a smooth, moisturizing gloss.
Lippie Lingerie is a matte crayon style lipstick. It provides a rich, long lasting color.
If you’re going for a no makeup look, this pot style lip gloss would be a great choice for lip color. Its sheer pink tint would accent any natural makeup look.
A glowing tan is a great finishing touch to any look! I really like the Brazilliance Plus self tanner lotion because it’s easy to apply with a self-tanner glove, there’s no smell and you see the results quickly.
Here’s the finished Tarte Cosmetics look!
